Privacy Policy for Anify

Effective date: 29 September 2026

This policy covers Anify by Cleanstack, Android package com.cleanstack.shinobi. For privacy questions, contact x140sh1n@gmail.com and identify the app and package. The original Anify app uses a different package, com.cleanstack.anify.

Accounts and connected services

When you sign in or connect a supported provider, the app and its service providers process the account identifier, profile name, profile image and email address made available by that provider. These details support authentication, your profile, account synchronization and community features. Cleanstack account identity may be shared between Anify app versions; signing out does not delete a server account. Connected services, including Google, AniList and MyAnimeList, operate under their own policies.

Your activity and content

Anify stores settings, library entries, reading and playback progress, searches and downloaded files on your device. Features such as library synchronization, comments, feedback and usage reporting may send relevant information to the app’s backend or connected provider. Content and image requests also disclose network information, including your IP address and the requested resource, to the service receiving the request. Comments you publish may be visible to other users.

Purchases and notifications

Google Play handles payment processing. Purchase identifiers, subscription status and related transaction information are used to validate purchases and provide access. The app does not receive your full payment-card details. If you use notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging and the app backend process a device notification token and delivery-related information. You can change notification permissions in Android settings.

Third-party data use

Google Mobile Ads may collect and share IP-derived approximate location, device or advertising identifiers, app interactions and diagnostics for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. Google’s User Messaging Platform handles consent choices where applicable. Available privacy choices can be reviewed in the app; Android also provides advertising-ID controls. Firebase Crashlytics processes crash reports and app/device diagnostics to help identify reliability problems. When server-side reward verification is enabled, it processes an installation identifier, ad-unit and app identifiers, device information and a verification nonce. Google’s privacy policy is at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Storage, backup and retention

Local data remains until you remove it through available app controls, clear app data or uninstall. Downloaded files may remain in their selected storage location. Android backup and device-transfer services may retain eligible app data according to your device settings. Backend and provider records are separate from local storage; uninstalling or signing out does not delete those records. Service providers apply their own retention rules, and records needed for transactions, security or legal obligations may be retained.

Your choices and requests

You can disconnect linked services using their account controls and manage device permissions through Android. For questions about access, correction or deletion of data held by Cleanstack, email x140sh1n@gmail.com with the account identifier and app package. Do not send passwords, authentication codes or payment-card details. Requests involving a shared Cleanstack account may affect data used by more than one app. Independent provider accounts and Google Play subscriptions must be managed with the relevant provider.

Children and policy changes

Anify is not designed specifically for children. This policy may be updated when the app’s features or service providers change. The effective date identifies the latest version.
